General Summary of Position:
The Manning School of Business at UMass Lowell invites applications for a Graduate Admissions & Outreach Coordinator. This dynamic position is responsible for leading and supporting a wide range of student-facing recruitment, admissions, and engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will be a proactive communicator, event organizer, and data-informed strategist who is passionate about supporting students throughout the enrollment process and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Recruitment and Admissions Counseling:

Identify, engage, and recruit prospective students using multiple channels including CRM outreach, virtual and in-person events, social media, college fairs, and institutional partnerships.

Provide individualized counseling to prospective students, guiding them through academic offerings, admissions requirements, and application procedures.

Ensure responsive, accurate, and supportive communication to help applicants make informed enrollment decisions.
Event Coordination and Marketing:
- Organize and participate in recruitment and informational events such as open houses, campus tours, webinars, and virtual sessions.
- Work closely with marketing and outreach teams to develop promotional materials and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage event logistics including scheduling, technology, registration, communications, and branding to ensure high-quality experiences for attendees.
Data Management and Analysis:
- Track and maintain detailed records of prospective student engagement and application progress using CRM systems.
- Analyze recruitment and admissions data to inform strategy and improve outreach effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on event participation metrics to support continuous improvement of recruitment initiatives.
Student Engagement and Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with admissions team members, faculty, and staff to deliver a cohesive, student-centered admissions experience.
- Contribute to student engagement efforts through planning and supporting social and community-building events.
Academic Advising Support:
- Maintain knowledge of graduate programs and academic policies to provide backup advising support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with academic advisors to ensure seamless and accurate student support during periods of staff absence.
Experiential Learning Logistics Support:
- Provide basic logistical support for experiential learning initiatives, including coordination of rooms, materials, and communications.
- Assist with operational planning to support timely and effective program execution.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) work experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of required experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Considerations:
- Familiarity with student recruitment practices and trends is a plus.
- Experience in event and program planning is advantageous.
- A Master’s degree in Business, Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Prior work in sales, marketing, or higher education is desirable.
- Strong proficiency with computer-based applications and online tools.
- Experience with Salesforce, Slate, Microsoft Office Suite, and especially PeopleSoft (SiS) is preferred.
