Director - Student Conduct 501149 Student Affairs
The Director of Student Conduct provides leadership, vision and strategic planning for the Office of Student Conduct.  The Director is a thought leader on campus concerning the rights and responsibilities of students, and ensures that student behavior related policies, procedures and processes are informed by current legislation, case law and federal guidelines.  In addition, the Director is responsible for monitoring and maintaining a fair, civil, and educational Student Conduct Process.  The Director will serve as an investigator for high level student conduct cases and is also appointed as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator. The Director of Student Conduct is a member of the Division of Student Affairs Leadership team, will work collaboratively with offices across the university including, Residence Life, University Police, Athletics, Student Activities, Admissions, and the Schools and Colleges.  Beyond leadership of the Office of Student Conduct, the Director, along with the other Directors and Deans provides collaborative and seamless leadership of the Division of Student Affairs. Postdoctoral Research Associate - Accreting Pulsars 501129 Space Sci. & Tech. (LoCSST)
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at UMass Lowell Center for Space Science and Technology, to work on Accreting Pulsars, with Drs. Silas Laycock and Dimitris Christodoulou. The successful applicant will develop codes to model X-ray pulse profiles as a way to infer the structure of the accretion flow, and explore the time evolution of pulsar magnetospheres. They will also identify and reduce X-ray observations to augment the group’s library of pulse-profiles in ways that meaningfully extend our parameter space. This will include processing archival data from XMM-Newton, NuSTAR, Swift, Chandra, as well as proposing for new observations.

Equipment & Laboratory Manager - Fabric Discovery Center 500687 Plastics Engineering
The Fabric Discovery Center at the University Massachusetts Lowell is seeking an Equipment & Laboratory Manager to support UMass Lowell Faculty, Students and Post-doctoral fellows in research projects and with companies in their prototyping needs related to advanced fibers and textiles and flexible hybrid electronics. The position will involve identifying the appropriate fabrication equipment/processes and facilitating the fabrication and testing of prototypes for the flexible hybrid electronics and advanced fiber and textile industries. The principal role of the laboratory technician is to work on short term projects alongside the technical program managers, UMass Lowell Faculty, Post-doctoral researchers, students and industry partners. More specifically, the position will a) operate textile equipment such as weaving and knitting, run plastics processing equipment, coating lines (roll-to-roll (RTR) and wire coating line) and create flexible electronic prototype devices, b) prepare standard operating procedures for operating, calibrating and maintaining fabrication and testing equipment, and train internal and external users, troubleshoot and carry out preventive maintenance of equipment located at the Center and c) maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners that will support the growth of the Center.
Regional Admissions Counselor for Northern New Jersey 500766 Admissions/Undergrad
The Regional Admissions Counselor is responsible for freshmen and transfer student recruitment and represents UMass Lowell at targeted college fairs, high schools, and community college events in Northern New Jersey (Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties). The Regional Admissions counselor will counsel prospective students and their parents regarding admission criteria, application and financial aid processes, academic programs, merit-based scholarships, campus facilities and resources, student organizations and activities. The Regional Admissions counselor will also visit the UMass Lowell campus at various times throughout the year for trainings and Fall recruitment & Spring yield events. The Regional Admissions Counselor will report to the Director of International, Multicultural and Regional Admissions. The position is part-time/non-benefited, 25 hours per week for 10 months with possibility of renewal pending performance.
Bus Driver 500777 Parking and Transportation
Part-time Bus Drivers are temporary, non-benefited, non-unit positions. Will act as customer service representatives and drive University buses (class-C) on designated routes transporting community members between various locations on campus. Transportation drivers will be a source of information for parking and transportation questions. In addition to driving responsibilities, employees will be cross-trained in other areas of the department, including office assistant work, parking attendance and transportation dispatching.
