General Summary of Position:

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks a part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach Data Science for Biologists.  The appointment is scheduled to begin 11/18/2024.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Formal education above MS degree, and evidence of experience in any data intensive field
  • Experience with command line (bash)
  • Proficient in python, pandas, an scikit-learn
  • Understand and can explain logistic regression and linear regression

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience
  • PhD in a data intensive field such as natural or social sciences.

This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position.
