General Summary of Position:

This position provides temporary part-time office support to the Office of Graduate Admissions. It is primarily responsible for offering customer service to graduate prospective students and processing graduate applications.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Process graduate applications 
  • Enter/Update applications in student information system and the imaging application
  • Monitor receipt of documents and test scores
  • Ensure timely review and decision from Dept. Coordinators
  • Picking up and sorting mail
  1. Provide customer support to graduate prospective students
  • Answer Graduate Admissions phones
  • Review and reply to graduate students emails using Salesforce cases
  • Greet visitors and answer their questions or direct them to the appropriate staff or offices

Other Job Duties:

 Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of H.S. Diploma or G.E.D./equivalent with some college helpful
  • Three years related administrative/office experience with increasing responsibilities
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook is required
  • Maintaining an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles
  • Flexible, reliable, detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage priorities

Additional Considerations:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM’s such as Salesforce
  • Familiarity with student information systems such as People Soft and imaging systems such as Document Imaging

This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited, non-unit position.
