Biomedical Lab Specialist 506825 Biomed & Nutritional Sciences
The Biomedical Laboratory Specialist participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programming in the biomedical laboratories. In addition, S/he will be part of a four-person team working under a shared leadership model and will be expected to take a leadership role in her/his areas of expertise. The primary role of this group is to support the Biomedical and Nutritional Sciences department through teaching and preparation of any undergraduate and graduate laboratory courses in the Department, operating and maintaining a variety of bioanalytical instruments, preparing and maintaining laboratory protocols, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and training materials used in teaching. The successful applicant will oversee and ensure the implementation and maintenance of safety standards for all teaching laboratories. S/he will work closely with the BNS Department Chair and Associate Chair and the various laboratory course coordinators to assist with teaching and any other departmental initiatives.
Postdoctoral Research Associate - Characterization and Modeling of Adhesives and Textile 506788 Mechanical Engineering
The successful candidate will conduct experimental and numerical research on curing of adhesives in wind energy applications, textile manufacturing and testing, and mechanical testing of adhesive joints. The Secure & Reliable Networking Research (SNR) Lab in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Massachusetts Lowell is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Professor Tricia Chigan (http://faculty.uml.edu/Tricia_Chigan/). Transfer Credit Specialist 506612 Office of the Registrar
The Transfer Credit Specialist is responsible for coordinating the communication with academic departments and Transfer Coordinators to streamline the review of courses that have not previously been evaluated and inputting equivalencies into the transfer credit dictionary and posting to student records. This includes facilitating the more individualized review and evaluation for military and international transcripts. The Transfer Credit Specialist also enters transfer equivalencies into SiS and the transfer credit dictionary as articulation agreements are finalized. The Transfer Credit Specialist also coordinates the NECCUM cross registration program. In addition to the duties listed above, the Transfer Credit Specialist will assist the registrar’s office as needed.

The Senior Verification Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the financial aid application verification process. S/he acts as a subject matter expert on federal and institutional financial aid policies and procedures and consistently applies eligibility requirements to all students to ensure proper approval of funds. The Senior Verification Specialist performs a variety of duties necessary to support the delivery of financial aid to students including communicating with students and parents regarding the verification process and other eligibility issues as well as using knowledge of financial aid compliance to make independent decisions that result in accurate awards.
