General Summary of Position:

Under the direction of the Associate Athletics Director for Sports Performance & Administration, the Head Sports Performance Coach is responsible for assisting with the overall management, success, and performance of the strength and conditioning program for all student-athletes while overseeing all aspects of the Kennedy Family Athletic Complex weightroom.
Essential Job Duties:
- Planning, and collaborating sport-specific strength and conditioning programs for all designated sports teams on a year-round basis with the Asst/Assoc AD. This includes developing, monitoring, and evaluating speed, agility, strength, and conditioning programs, and ensuring proper fundamental instruction is provided.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating a fellowship and graduate curriculum for the part-time strength and conditioning coaches, graduate fellows, and students (interns, volunteers, and work-study).
- Serving as the primary strength and conditioning coach for designated athletic programs. This includes planning, organizing, scheduling and facilitating their strength and conditioning needs.
- Overseeing the budget and management of the Kennedy Family Athletic Center weight room; scheduling, maintenance, safety protocols.
- Organizing and developing the student-athlete’s refueling station. This will also include the internal structure of ordering nutritional foods and drink, maintenance, and evolution of their nutritional needs.
- Collaborating with the athletic healthcare, academic, compliance staffs and sport administrators to ensure student-athletes’ needs are managed appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC)
- CPR certification
- Know and follow the NCAA, conference and department rules and regulations
Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of full time Strength and Conditioning experience at the collegiate level
Additional Considerations:
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Previous experience as a Collegiate Director of Strength & Conditioning
- Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills

This position is full-time, benefited and non-unit in grade P16. Internal/promo opportunity. Anticipated salary based on experience/qualifications within range. Minimum: $59,674, 25th quartile: $67,879 and midpoint $76,085.
