General Summary of Position:

This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position. 

The M2D2 IMPACT Innovation Activation Manager is a benefited full-time position through October 31, 2022 with the possibility of renewal. The position will be responsible for connecting program participants with resources needed to move their early stage technology toward commercialization, tracking metrics, and reporting out.

Connect program participants with resources by:

  • Meeting with program participants on a set schedule to identify gaps
  • Conducting outreach by email, phone, and in-person meetings with in-network resource providers such as legal, regulatory, reimbursement, and other subject matter experts
  • Establishing relationships with necessary subject matter experts not in network
  • Follow up on a set schedule to ensure program participants’ technologies are moving forward
  • Representing the University at meetings, conferences, and university events
  • Report out on all meetings and metric

Assist in the management of projects by:

  • Ensuring that project obligations are met; assist with establishment and modification of curriculum as needed
  • Contributing to strategic discussions on program directions and goals
  • Assisting with marketing and outreach to help with attracting program applicants
  • Collaborating with consultants, partners, and stakeholders to meet project goals
  • Establishing and implementing policies, procedures, and timelines needed for successful outcomes
  • Track metrics of program participants taking advantage of resources and progress made
  • Participating in meetings as needed
  • Filing reports as required

Assist with:

  • Live events – lead/support set up, registration, day-of staff, AV and break down
  • Management of ongoing relationships with stakeholders and collaborators
  • Work with the University to create an IMPACT program web page; maintain web page content; assist with social posting as appropriate
  • Support other ad-hoc projects as needed (i.e. sourcing, general marketing support, research, surveys etc.)

Minimum Qualifications (Required):


  • Bachelor’s degree


  • 3-5 years of related experience
