General Summary of Position:

Central Receiving is responsible for the receipt and distribution of all incoming material and equipment and the management of all outgoing freight.  All incoming packages must be inspected for obvious physical damage and rejected where appropriate. Area is also responsible for pick-up of mail from the US Post Office, campus distribution of sorted mail provided by the University mail room and pick-up of interdepartmental mail from various offices throughout the campus.

Storekeeper II is responsible receiving, sorting and delivery of mail and packages throughout campus. 

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • High School Graduate or GED/equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds
  • Experience in warehouse, distribution services or equivalent
  • Ability to receive or have DOT medical card
  • Ability to receive or have fork truck certification

Additional Considerations:

  • Ability to work in constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Utmost in discretion and integrity
