General Summary of Position:

This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position.

Provide coaching to Health and Safety Committee members and co-facilitators in six research study sites as they implement a participatory, Total Worker Health® program. In three facilities at a time, the Site Coach will teach the Health and Safety Committee (“Design Team”) how to use the CPH-NEW Intervention Design and Analysis (IDEAS) tool for root cause analysis, participatory design, and business case development of integrated safety/well-being interventions. The Site Coach will also liaise with facility leadership and assist with numerous data collection and evaluation activities in all six sites throughout the 5-year project period.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a health or safety related field, labor relations, community psychology, or other discipline relevant to the project and a minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Experienced organizer, or equivalent demonstrated experience in recruiting and engaging individuals to participate in group activities
  • Strong interpersonal skills; can build rapport and trust with range of stakeholders; anticipates and deals with obstacles while maintaining relationships
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Understands importance of maintaining fidelity of the intervention protocol
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized; able to write clearly and concisely
  • Mature, positive, and professional demeanor
  • Competence in basic word processing software, MS PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Content knowledge of occupational health and safety desired but not essential

This position is contingent upon funding. The initial appointment is anticipated to be for 5 years, based on productivity and performance and the availability of funding.
