General Summary of Position:

The Director of Corporate Education and Conferences - Online & Continuing Education, under the supervision of the Dean is responsible  for the development and growth of revenue enhancing corporate education programs that support workforce development activities and industries in the region. The Director is also responsible for the day to day management of all aspects of corporate education programs, including program curriculum, registration logistics and financial budgets for all programs. The Director will work with the Dean and other academic departments to identify new business opportunities and new business models for serving corporate clients. The position will require excellent financial management skills. The position will require extensive off-campus activities and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders both within and outside the University.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Candidate must have at least 10 years’ experience working in a corporate education environment preferably in higher education
  • Extensive experience in the administration and supervision of corporate programs, working with external partners and building a team environment
  • Experience managing full-time professionals and part-time staff
  • Substantial experience in preparing budgets and detailed executive summaries and reports
  • Demonstrated experience in managing professional seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with corporate partners in the process and delivery of work force training grants

Additional Considerations:

  • Applicant must have a proven track record in developing and managing corporate education programs and partnerships
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain long term relationships with corporate clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
