      The Francis College of Engineering invites applications for an outstanding candidate for a Visiting Professor in the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering department. This position emphasizes teaching and pedagogy, while also providing opportunities to pursue research. The appointment is scheduled to begin Fall Semester 2025. Candidates with experience in engineering education and design of effective and inclusive pedagogical approaches will be given strong consideration. We value excellence and innovation in curriculum design and courses that promote experiential learning and professional skills for our students.       Campus Recreation is seeking a qualified candidate for a part-time Bike Shop Manager at our UMass Lowell (UML) Bike Shop. We are a full-service retail bike shop including new and used bike sales, repair services, and bicycle rentals. This position manages student bicycle mechanics, our on-campus Free Wheelers bike share program, and oversees the day to day operations of the shop. The Bike Shop is open to the UML community as well as the public.

    • Executive Director - Core Research Facilities in UMass Lowell

      The Executive Director is responsible for oversight and management of the Core Research Facilities and Staff, as well as the continued development and growth of the laboratories. Responsibilities of the Executive Director of the CRF encompass oversight of the operations, including business operation services, financial management, strategic planning for the CRF laboratories, internal and external marketing of the CRF, community outreach practices, and development of guidelines directed at creating best practices in a manner consistent across all of the CRF laboratories, and ensuring financial compliance with government regulations and guidelines. The Executive Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of partnership amongst CRF laboratories, the UMass Lowell research enterprise, UMass Lowell industry partners, and the UMass core laboratory system.
