Research Coordinator I in UMass Lowell
Supported by the National Science Foundation Smart and Connected Communities (SCC) program the research will develop and implement a community engaged water quality monitoring and alert system. Through a community engaged approach, community members will sample and test water from the socioeconomically diverse communities of Lowell, Lawrence, Dracut, and Andover. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator or designee(s), the Research Coordinator will support the SCC research study. Postdoctoral Research Associate - Mechanical Engineering – Advanced Modeling & Testing of Composite Structures (multiple positions) in UMass Lowell
The successful candidate will use computational tools at different length scales, including molecular-,micro- and mecro-level to simulate the mechanical behavior of composite structures from manufacturing to in-service performance. Different optimization techniques will be employed in assisting the design of materials and devices to achieve high efficiency and low environmental impact. The initial appointment will be for one year with a possibility of renewal based on productivity and performance and the availability of funding.
