The Second Shift Operations Coordinator reports directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position are to coordinate and oversee the operations and service maintenance activities of staff working on the assigned shift, to serve a primary point of contact for service calls during the shift, to liaison with Operations and Services Managers in facilitating second shift work tasks and to ensure requests for work generated on the shift are completed or communicated to the Facilities Service Center. The Operations Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for Facilities Management service contractors and staff operating at the University during the second shift and will coordinate access as needed for in house staff. May be assigned a regular work week that includes a Saturday or Sunday.
Steam Fireman 529590 Facilities Operations&Services
The Facilities and Operations and Services' team is seeking a Steam Fireman.  Incumbents of positions in this series operate, maintain and/or repair high pressure boilers and auxiliary machinery and equipment; clean machinery and equipment; respond to emergencies or equipment breakdowns; maintain adequate supply of fuel; and perform related work as required. The basic purpose of this work is to ensure that the power plant facility is operated and maintained safely and efficiently.

The Department of Environmental, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (EEAS) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Visiting Lecturer. This position focuses primarily on teaching undergraduate courses for non-science majors in environmental science and Earth system science. The position is renewable annually, potentially leading to an appointment of Assistant Teaching Professor following three consecutive years of excellent performance evaluations. The successful candidate will be a dedicated educator committed to inclusive, student-centered teaching and active participation in departmental and university service.
Faculty Part-Time - Portuguese 529569 World Languages and Cultures
The Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites candidates to apply for a one year part-time non-benefited adjunct faculty position to start in the Fall Semester, September 2026. Primary responsibilities are to provide high quality teaching and service to the department (80% teaching, 20% service). The regular teaching load for this position is 3-4 courses per semester. Responsibilities will consist of teaching courses at the undergraduate level in language, literature, cinema, and culture as needed, including Portuguese 1 through 4 and upper-level courses in English or Portuguese. The successful candidate will be involved in service to the Portuguese program as needed and will fulfill any outreach activities, actively participating in continuing efforts to recruit and retain students to the program, including majors and minors in the Portuguese program. The ideal candidate will enhance the student's learning experience by integrating a variety of methods and strategies into the teaching process and maintaining a student learning-centered environment. Knowledge of second language proficiency assessment and ACTFL standards is a plus. Assistant Director - Fitness Programs & Facilities 529512 Campus Recreation
The Assistant Director of Fitness Programs & Facilities will manage the operations of all Campus Recreation fitness programs, facilities, activity spaces, and student and part-time staff. This includes recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating upwards of 60+ student and part time staff, managing two fitness centers, and overseeing group fitness, personal training, and other instructional and specialty fitness programs.
