General Summary of Position:

The Facilities Information Systems Analyst (FISA) develops and maintains an exciting portfolio of facilities applications, focusing on workflow that helps improve the efficiency and effectiveness of UMass Lowell’s Facilities Management group. Reporting to the Associate Director of Planning & FIS, the position requires a strong understanding of enterprise applications and knowledge of architecture, engineering, and construction processes.  The FISA serves as liaison to UMass Lowell’s Information Technology department and works with vendors, consultants, and end-users across the university. For all groups, the FISA helps ensure the success and adoption of all aspects of the FIS platform.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Design, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant discipline and a minimum five (5) years of responsible and practical experience as a business analyst or any relevant Associate’s degree and 7 years of experience
  • Advanced technical and data analysis skills, including workflow development and enterprise systems
  • Demonstrated customer service and technical support experience serving a diverse base of users with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and visual communication 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with e-Builder, Sharepoint, PowerApps, ServiceNow, and ESRI GIS
  • Experience implementing new enterprise facilities information systems
  • Knowledge of design and construction practices
  • Knowledge of GIS, CAD, and BIM software
  • Experience leveraging APIs and REST endpoints
  • ITIL 4 Certification
  • Construction industry, project management, and or Information Technology related certifications or registrations
