University of Massachusetts, Lowell is seeking an extraordinary clinician and experienced leader to serve in the new position of Associate Director for Clinical Services at Counseling Services, part of the UMass Lowell Wellness Center. The Associate Director will oversee all clinical operations and provision of high-quality, culturally affirming mental health services. The Associate Director will serve on the Counseling Services leadership team. In addition, the Associate Director will collaborate closely with the Director to implement a dynamic and innovative vision at a thriving state university in commuting distance from Boston (currently ranked #1 Public University in Massachusetts by the Wall Street Journal).
Associate Director - Technology Services (Promotional Opportunity Only) 529374 Technology Services
This being a promotional opportunity, only current UML Employees within the same Bargaining unit are eligible to apply for this position. The Associate Director of Technology Services is Information Technology’s customer service champion, turning UMass Lowell IT’s vision for high quality technology services and support into day to day execution. The Associate Director supervises and coordinates the Technology Services team, ensuring customers are supported effectively and remain productive with their university technology. The role also oversees the full lifecycle of IT client assets, from acquisition through deployment, support, and retirement. Under the direction of the Deputy CIO, the Associate Director of Technology Services serves as the final internal escalation point for IT customers. The role is accountable for resolving issues to the satisfaction of end users and for coordinating escalated support with other IT units and university departments to ensure campus needs are met. The Associate Director balances hands on technical skills with strong people leadership, equally comfortable configuring or troubleshooting a laptop or mobile device, assisting executive users, and developing performance and growth plans for staff. UMass Lowell prides itself on a mature Information Technology environment. Accordingly, the Associate Director of Technology Services champions ITIL aligned practices and culture across IT and provides day to day leadership for the ITSM platform and associated workflows and processes. In addition to managing the Technology Services department, the Associate Director collaborates with other IT managers and leaders to support the goal of all IT employees being engaged in service delivery.

Director of AI Workforce Innovation and Partnerships 529258 Sustainability
The Director of AI Workforce Innovation and Partnerships will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive, university-wide strategy to ensure that every UMass Lowell student graduates AI-proficient — not as AI developers, but as capable users and innovators applying AI tools to solve real-world problems in business, government, nonprofit, and community settings. This position will coordinate AI-related curriculum development across all colleges and schools, oversee the creation of re-skilling and certificate programs, and cultivate partnerships with small businesses, municipalities, and other organizations to promote applied learning experiences. The Director will align these efforts with UMass Lowell’s broader workforce and industry engagement strategies to pilot and scale AI applications that empower future leaders to transform how organizations work and grow. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor of Sustainability and Enterprise Development, and working closely with deans, department chairs, faculty, the Office of the Provost, Graduate and Professional Studies, Industry Engagement, Advancement, Information Technology, and Career Services, the Director will serve as a connector and conduit for AI initiatives — connecting faculty efforts, aligning resources, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring consistent communication across campus and with external partners.
Communication Dispatcher II 529279 University Police
The Communications Dispatcher II performs a variety of duties involving transmitting messages from the radio communications base station. S/he monitors various radio frequencies and operates radio transmitting and receiving equipment. S/he will maintain records and logs of department daily activities, search files to obtain information, utilize information equipment in order to facilitate law enforcement and community care taking goals and missions. All finalists will be required to present the following documents: Birth Certificate, High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate and Driver's License.
