General Summary of Position: 

This Research Assistant role is to help conduct experiments during summer 2024 on the physiological cross-sectional area of muscles of the jaw and tongue in mammals. The work will involve dissections of mammal cadavers, taking simple measurements of muscle mass, fiber length, and fiber pennation. The candidate will also be analyzing the data in collaboration with Dr. Konow and an external collaborator.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • BS (Biology, Engineering, or related)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Cadaver dissection, morphometrics, data analyses in Systat
  • Experience with academic writing would be a plus
