General Summary of Position:

The Gkikas Lab at the Polymer Division of the Chemistry department at University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to assist in the synthesis and development of X-ray contrast agents for breast cancer detection and CT signal augmentation. 

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • The postdoctoral researcher is expected to have a PhD in chemistry, materials synthesis, or engineering, with previous experience and skills in polymeric materials and/or nano-materials

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cell studies will be preferentially foreseen
  • Preference will be given to candidates already in the United States

Special Instructions for Applicants:

Only current UML Employees within the Grants & Contracts (MTA/GRACE) bargaining unit will be considered during the first 10 business days of the posting. All other candidates considered after that period.

This position is continued upon funding. The initial appointment will be for ONE year with a possibility of renewal based on productivity and satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
