General Summary of Position:

The Department of Plastics Engineering is looking for part-time faculty for instruction of asynchronous online courses.  These courses include, but are not limited to, PLAS.5350 – Rubber Technology, PLAS.5500 – Processing of Elastomers, PLAS.5940 – Design with Elastomers, and PLAS.5950 – Thermoplastic Elastomers.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  1. Ph.D. or similar degree in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience in design, formulation, manufacturing, and characterization of thermoset elastomeric products/systems.
  3. Teaching experience a plus.

Special Instructions to Applicants:

This is a part-time, non-benefited, Union of Adjunct Faculty, Local 1596, UAW position.
