General Summary of Position:

The Office of Hospitality & Event Services provide staff and support to run and operate the day to day activities across campus. The Operations Coordinator – Part-time staff will provide support, leadership, and guidance in event operations, initiatives, and services directly related to the Office of Hospitality & Event Services. These responsibilities will directly support the mission and objectives of the Office of Hospitality & Event Services

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED/equivalent required

Experience:

  • Event management, operations, event planning/programming, scheduling, knowledge of PC computers and software programs such as Outlook, Microsoft Office, One Drive, 25Live, Visio Event Software, Adobe products
  • In addition the successful candidate must be organized, dependable and have excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Candidate must demonstrate integrity, initiative, openness, teamwork, and a positive attitude
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups, make well educated decisions, and communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff

Additional Considerations:

  • Understanding and experience with event management
  • Understanding and experience with operations
