General Summary of Position:

Provide laboratory animal care to a variety of laboratory animals in a safe, humane, and sanitary manner, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and policies. Feed, water, and change cages, maintain animals in specialized housing, such as barrier or containment facilities; Operates and maintains sanitation and sterilization of equipment. Administers routine treatments and medications.  The location of the position is in Andover, MA.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • High School diploma or GED/equivalent with one or more years experience working/handling animals

Preferred qualifications:

  • AA degree in biology or related science
  • ALAT certification

Special Instructions to Applicants:

This is a SEIU 888 Professional Union position, Grade P14.
