General summary of position:

The multidisciplinary and collaborative lab of Dr. Gulden Camci-Unal at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks two Post-Doctoral Research Associates with extensive experiences in bone tissue engineering, biomineralization, in vivo studies, organ-on-chips, mono- and co-cultures of cells, biological assays to monitor cell behavior and function, and culture of human primary cell lines and stem cells for repair and regeneration of bone.

The initial appointment will be for 1 year with a possibility of renewal for another year based on the productivity and performance.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Education: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biology or a related field.

Industrial experience in 3D scaffolds and organ-on-chip technologies although not required can be a plus.

Highly motivated candidates with strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience in bone tissue engineering, biomineralization, in vivo studies, organ-on-chips, mono- and co-cultures of cells, biological assays to monitor cell behavior and function, culture of human primary cell lines and stem cells for repair and regeneration of bone, mammalian cell cultures in microfluidic chips, and co-cultures

This position is contingent upon funding.  The initial appointment will be for approximately 1 year with a possibility of renewal based on productivity and performance and the availability of funding.
