General Summary of Position:

Under the general direction of the Professor/Principal Investigator, the Biostatistician II is responsible for the planning, design, review, programming and implementation of special information systems activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):


  • MS in Biostatistics, Statistics, Health Economics or a related quantitative science field.


  • 1+ years in publish health/healthcare research


  • Proficient in programming using SAS, SAS/SQL, Stata MP, and R
  • Significant working experience in Enterprise SAS SQL
  • Knowledge of web-based database construction (e.g., REDCap)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, necessary to interact with investigators, internal and external collaborators and team members

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience in assisting investigators with preparation of peer-reviewed publications or reports
  • Ability to travel (drive) to off-site locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with government health agencies and/or health care organizations
  • Working experiences in health care settings, knowledge of clinical operations and laboratory tests
  • Significant working experience in hospital data, clinical registries or cohort studies, and insurance claims
