The Department of Campus Recreation at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Outdoor and Bicycle Programs Administrative and Operations Assistant. This position is designed to support the Assistant Director of Outdoor and Bicycle Programs with various administrative and operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the areas of Accounting, Cash Handling, Purchasing and Procurement, Inventory and Transaction Record Audits, Data entry and compilation and tracking, and accounts receivable
  • Assists in marketing and communications: mailings, website editing and publishing, communicates programs and events with the university and community
  • Assists in operational aspects of program area: document filing and organizing, various errands, vehicle maintenance scheduling and follow up and other local program support activities as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to relate to a diverse student and staff population
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks and thrive in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Maintains clean, organized and functional work environment
  • Familiarity with accounting, retail, rental business operations and practices
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other common computer software

This is a part-time, temporary, non-unit, non-benefited position.
