The Department of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Engineering, beginning September 1, 2026.
We seek dynamic and innovative candidates with strong research records who can build and sustain a nationally recognized, externally funded applied research program in Electrical Engineering. While applications over a wide range of specialties are encouraged, the successful candidate will enhance or strategically complement ongoing efforts within the Engineering department. We are particularly interested in the areas of power systems, power electronics, electric motors and drives, power apparatus and protection, materials for energy applications, smart grids, renewable energy systems, and wireless power transfer. |

The Kelliher lab at UMass Boston is seeking a postdoctoral colleague to join our community, recently awarded a 5-year MIRA grant from NIGMS (R35 GM157067) to study how circadian rhythms interact with nutrients in the environment and cellular metabolism. We utilize the fungal model system Neurospora as well as mammalian cell culture. We employ genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, and bioinformatics to study mechanisms of circadian compensation, clock transcriptional networks, and cross-talk between the circadian oscillator and metabolism. |
