Assistant Teaching Professor - Finance UMass Lowell
The Finance Department at the Robert J. Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is accepting applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to start Fall of 2025. The position is renewable annually, potentially leading to an appointment of Associate Teaching Professor following five consecutive years of excellent performance evaluations. The Manning School of Business boasts a vibrant community of approximately 4,000 undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and grad certificate students and holds accreditation from AACSB International. Situated in a modern facility equipped with cutting-edge classrooms and a dedicated Trading Room housing 20 Bloomberg terminals, the school offers an unparalleled learning environment. Nestled just 30 miles northwest of Boston, UMass Lowell, with its expansive campus, serves as the second-largest public university in Massachusetts, catering to over 18,000 students. UMass Lowell recently earned the Carnegie Mellon R1 Research classification. The Finance Department offers Ph.D. and MS degrees in Finance, a Finance concentration in the MBA, and a Finance concentration in the BSBA program. The incoming candidate would be expected to teach three courses per semester and to engage in departmental service. Service would include student advising, mentoring, and recruiting, supporting undergraduate co-curricular activities, and managing the trading room. The successful candidate could also be appointed as the Director of Undergraduate Student Success, which provides an additional stipend.
Visiting Faculty Lecturer - Mechanical & Industrial Engineering UMass Lowell
The Francis College of Engineering invites applications for an outstanding candidate for a Visiting Professor in the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering department. This position emphasizes teaching and pedagogy, while also providing opportunities to pursue research. The appointment is scheduled to begin Fall Semester 2025. Candidates with experience in engineering education and design of effective and inclusive pedagogical approaches will be given strong consideration. Communications Dispatcher II (UMPD Emergency Dispatcher) UMass Amherst
Receives, prioritizes, and transmits first notification of calls for 24/7/365 service for police, fire and medical assistance from the campus community. Dispatches non-emergency and 911 calls for service to the campus community. Transmits messages by radio from the Communications Center to multiple mobile and portable units in accordance with strict rules and regulations. Communicates via state and national criminal databases to other police departments to report on criminal activity. Extensively documents actions and outcomes from all police, fire and medical incidents occurring on campus into a computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
