The Director of SACL Human Resources & Administrative Officer is responsible for the strategic and operational direction for the Student Affairs and Campus Life (SACL) executive area. Human Resources Business Partner UMass Amherst
This position is directly accountable for developing and maintaining effective working relationships between Human Resources and the respective Vice Chancellor, Dean and Department Head areas of responsibility. Drawing on a broad range of expertise, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) operates as a business partner, management advocate, and employee champion for all levels of the University organization. The HRBP acts as a liaison between Vice Chancellors, Deans, Department Heads and their staffs and central HR staff for matters involving recruiting, employment, compensation, employee relations, labor relations and training and development. Advance Practice Clinician - Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant UMass Amherst
Under general direction of Medical Director for University Health Services and under the supervision of one or more physicians provides health care, including acute episodic illness and/or injury, chronic disease management, and health maintenance, for patients of the University Health Service (UHS). Evaluates and treats common acute injuries and illness using guidelines and physician consultation by phone when necessary. Triages and refers to physicians any patients that require further evaluation. Provides these services for UHS patients and campus visitors. With general supervision functions independently within the scope of departmental and institutional policies and procedures; refers exceptions to Medical Director for University Health Services.
Director of Finance SPHHS UMass Amherst
The Director of Finance for the School of Public Health and Health Sciences (SPHHS) supports the daily financial management and related data analysis activities for the School. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean for Administration and Finance (A&F) of SPHHS and participates in resource management and strategic planning.  The Director is responsible for the financial management of the school's $42 million budget, including the annual operating budget, fiscal policies and procedures, efficiency and effectiveness of systems, long term forecasting, and fiscal compliance and control. The position also gathers, analyzes and interprets financial data necessary for the assessment and continuous process improvement for operational areas within the School. The Director of Finance provides advice, guidance and solutions on policies and situational problems and acts as an advisor on matters related to long-range financial planning for the School.
