Job Description

The Research Fellow will be responsible for testing of all of the participant groups, and providing written reports to families. The Research Fellow will be responsible for participant recruitment and scheduling, data collection, data management, and overseeing student hourly employees in the lab.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication disorders, child development, special education, education, linguistics or social-science related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in assisting with or conducting research or one (1) year experience working with individuals who have disabilities.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Excellent oral, written, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software; ability to acquire working knowledge of Direct RT software used to program and deliver experiments.
  • Ability to obtain proficiency in the administration of standardized tests of speech, language, and cognition with children.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with conducting human-subjects research.
  • Proficiency with any experimental software used to deliver psycholinguistic experiments.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience working on grant funded research (either federal or foundation).
  • Educational background in child development, child language development, education or special education.
  • Degree in Communication Disorders (either bachelors, masters or doctoral).


Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Administrative work within a busy, collegial office setting and interactive work with study participants in a laboratory setting.

Salary Information

Commensurate with experience.
