General Summary of Position:

The Department of Physical Therapy and Kinesiology at UMass Lowell invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty-Internship Supervisor for its Exercise Science undergraduate program. Specifically, we seek an individual to administrate the Internship Program (Clinical Practicum) for senior Exercise Science students and teach the associated course(s). This appointment is expected to start in the Spring 2019 semester, but will comprise both semesters of the academic year moving forward. Expected time commitment is approximately 10 hours per week. Our department desires a candidate who possesses exceptional communication and organizational skills who can manage students in current practicum assignments and cultivate future clinical sites. Prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

 Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Master's in Exercise Science or related field 
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities
  • Clinical experience with clients and/or patients  

Additional Considerations:

  • Academic doctoral degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • Prior experience in higher education teaching and/or supervising practicum or internship programs
