General Summary of Position:

This being an internal opportunity, only current UML Employees, irrespective of Bargaining units are eligible to apply for this position.

Operates duplicating & mail equipment, confers with agency staff and maintains liaisons, responds to inquiries, and performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required

  • Candidates must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in a mail or print environment or office management, office administration, business administration or business management. 

    **An Associate's degree or higher degree may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

  • Ability to understand and apply the rules, policies and procedures governing assigned unit activities
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to (or the ability to learn to) edit documents (adobe PDF and JPG files), using Adobe and Microsoft software products
  • Ability to assemble items of information in accordance with established procedures
  • Ability to work accurately with names, numbers, codes and/or symbols
  • Ability to perform arithmetical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to operate mail metering, duplicating and processing equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle

Additional Considerations:

  • Knowledge of the types and uses of photo copiers and other duplicating center equipment
  • Knowledge of the types of mail equipment and other postal and distribution center equipment
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to give oral and written instructions in a precise and understandable manner
