General Summary of Position:

The Transportation Coordinator: Training, will assist the manager in developing, implementing, and conducting Commercial Driver License Training – with passenger endorsement.  They should have an in-depth knowledge of current DOT regulations related to CDL – P.  This person will also, work with the manager in reviewing accidents to conduct re-trainings for drivers who have been involved in accidents as well as develop department wide trainings that are focused on reducing accidents in the department. Some of the training includes non-CDL drivers.  

This position is a part-time/non-benefited/non-unit position, working 15-18 hours a week, and may require weekend and/or evening work.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office
  • Valid CDL-B Driver’s license with clean driving history
  • Experience in developing and conducting CDL training
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Past experience working in a college environment
